1. We require full payment at the time professional services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service and minimizing costs, we do not bill.
2. We accept debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover) and cash. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card. We do not accept personal checks.
3. When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expense strikes as well. Hilltop Animal Hospital understands this and is able to make some special arrangements through the CareCredit program, a third party financing entity. It takes just 5 minutes to complete an application and will allow you to break down your payment into 6 monthly installments, interest free. You can either apply at our hospital, where we'll call in your application over the phone for immediate approval, or apply yourself online at: www.CareCredit.com.
Patient Arrival Policy
For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or examination rooms.
All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.
Federal and state law prohibits the dispensing of prescription medications without a valid doctor/patient/client relationship defined as a yearly physical exam.
For the safety of your pet, just as in people, medication cannot be dispensed without an evaluation of the problem, hopefully leading to a correct diagnosis and appropriate medication - it would put your beloved pet at risk to do otherwise.
Our policy is we will not prescribe any medications without doing an exam first. If your pet has not been seen at our hospital and you want to refill a prescription, we will have to examine your pet first. Sorry for any inconvenience , but it's the law.
Bring in any medical history you have for your pet when you come to our vet clinic. If required, we can contact your previous veterinarian to obtain pertinent medical history information. It's always best, if possible, to keep a journal of your pet's health throughout his or her life, including behavioral shifts. If you have something like this, share it with our team. If not, let us know everything that you think will be important. Our doctors can still work with whatever information you have.
Hilltop Animal Hospital is unable to take returns or offer refunds on prescription products. State and Federal law prohibits the resale of prescription items, even if unopened.
If you are not completely satisfied with a prescription dietary product due to quality, consistency or palatability please contact Hilltop Animal Hospital at 919-567-9700 to inquire about a return and credit.
